Kékfrankos - Bock Winery

“We believe in great wines!”
Bock Winery is a family enterprise, with a winemaking and viticultural tradition going back centuries. Their vineyards are situated in the Villány wine region in southern Hungary. Currently, they cultivate 120 hectares of their own land, plus 50 hectares of integrated vineyards on the region’s finest slopes (Ördögárok, Jammertál, Fekete-hegy, Bocor, Makár, and Kopár-dűlő), where predominantly blue grape varieties are grown.

Category-winner wine: Bock kékfrankos selection 2021

This premium Villány red wine of protected origin comes from the limited yield of the distinctive Fekete-hegy vineyard. Stainless steel tanks were used for the fermentation, followed by twelve months of ageing in second-use oak barrels to develop its final character and flavour profile. Poured in the glass, it displays a deep ruby-red colour, with aromas and flavours of cherry and sour cherry complemented by chocolate notes.
